The application window will be open for 2-3 weeks, and during this time, eligible students can submit their applications online. The application forms are expected to be available from the second week of May 2024. Once the forms are released, a direct link to apply will be provided. Getting into TNAU’s UG Agriculture & Fisheries courses for 2024-25:
- Registration: You apply online, fill in your details, share your academic history, and upload required documents.
- Seat Allotment: TNAU assigns seats based on your merit, reservation category, and the preferences you gave during registration.
- College Reporting: Once you get a seat, you visit the college within a given time, show your original documents for checking, and pay the admission fee to secure your spot.
Eligibility Criteria 2024 TNAU UG Admission:
If aiming for an undergraduate course in Agriculture or Fisheries at TN Agriculture University, read this.
For courses like B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri-Business Management, and B.Tech. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, you need to have studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) in your 12th grade.
For B.Sc. (Hons.) in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, the same subjects in 12th grade are required.
For B.Tech. courses in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Energy and Environmental Engineering, and Agricultural Information Technology, you need either Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science/Informatics practices in your 12th grade.
As for the age limit, you should be under 21 years as of 1st July 2024. However, if you are physically handicapped, the age limit is extended by 5 years. And good news for SC, SCA, and ST candidates – there’s no upper age limit for you!

To apply for UG courses in Agriculture or Fisheries at Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, you need the following documents:
- Your 10th grade mark sheet or birth certificate as proof of your birth.
- Your 12th grade mark sheet.
- Your community certificate.
- A nativity certificate, if you are from Tamil Nadu but studied 10th, 11th, and 12th outside the state.
- A first graduate certificate, if you are applying for a fee concession as the first graduate in your family.
- A certificate proving you studied in Tamil Nadu’s state government schools from 6th to 12th grade, if applicable.
- Your signed application form.
